We pride ourselves on a Irvin E. Williams is the Chief Executive Officer
and Managing Partner of Ebony Development. Founder of several development
companies including Ebony Development, Irvin has a passion for improving
the quality of life for urban residents. With Ebony recognized by Pittsburgh
Business Times as #3 of Pittsburgh’s Fastest 100 Growing Companies
and #1 in Real Estate/ Construction/ Development industry in Southwestern
Pennsylvania two years running, Irvin has forged a new frontier. As
the first African Americans in Western Pennsylvania to become the developer
and owner of a commercial office building, Williams Square & One
Hope Square, Irvin and his wife, Janicee are truly committed to the
urban core. This includes Williams’ recent Ronald H. Brown Civic
Leadership Award from the Urban League of Pittsburgh.
Irvin has an extensive understanding of finance and business and has
served as project manager, a general contractor, developer, and construction
manager. Williams has participated in over $20 million of new urban
redevelopment projects and over $40 million on the horizon. Williams
is an active member of the business and social community serving or
has served as a Board of Director for several organizations including:
National Forum Member for the National Association of Industrial and
Office Properties (NAIOP) Urban Redevelopment Forum, the Pittsburgh
Chapter of NAIOP, the Western Pennsylvania Brownfields Forum, African
American Chamber of Commerce, Kuntu Repertory Theatre, and the Three
Rivers Youth Council of Pittsburgh. Williams is a member of: Associated
Builders & Construction Association of Western Pennsylvania (ABC),
International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Pittsburgh History
and Landmarks Foundation (PHLF).
Educated at Pennsylvania State University, Carnegie Mellon University,
Harvard University, Graduate School of Design, Executive Series, and
the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business, Institute for
Entrepreneurial Excellence, Entrepreneurial Fellows Program, Williams
has made a tremendous impact in the Southwestern urban fabric and beyond.
